About me
I graduated from Union College in Schenectady, NY with B.A.s in Music and Studio Fine Arts. I have always loved music and art and wanted those to be a foundational part of my life, and I am actively working to make this a reality.
During my time at Union, I studied voice, performance, composition, and music technology. I performed in several ensembles, including the choir, chamber choir, orchestra, Japanese drumming ensemble, and an all-gender a cappella group. In addition to these ensembles, I did classical vocal training, as well as vocal training in musical theatre and pop music. For my music thesis, I wrote and composed an E.P. and performed it with a band that I started and led. I am currently working to produce this E.P. to release and feature on this site, so stay tuned!
Since I was also a visual arts major, I studied art through various media — photography, drawing, painting, 3D design, and printmaking. While I have drawn and done photography since I was young, taking a Plein Air Painting class at the beginning of my senior year introduced me to the medium - it was my first painting class ever, and I fell in love with oils. At the encouragement of my painting professor, I pursued painting for my studio thesis, taking extra classes in my second-to-last term just to make it happen. I am so glad I did, as it led to a series of large abstract landscapes that I am so proud of — which you can explore right here on this site!
